Smaller volumes can be evacuated for condensable vapors (including water, solvents, dilute acids and bases) with the help of the ballast function. The SPH dry scroll pump (second generation) also features an optimized face seal technology that significantly extends the time between face seal replacements. It is more suitable for the application of water vapor and some corrosive substances.
